Filmeducation
My husband Roland was a photographer. We made
acquaintances with Stig Lasseby – Teamfilm (Pelle Svanslös) and later on he became my mentor as well.
I have received scholarships from Swedish Filminstitute to learn more about of the technical skills of the film. Today in my studio I mix the older
techniques with the computer and the last scholarship was for a 3D-animation course.
About Me
I was born in Helsinki, Finland. After school I studied at a handcraft school in Borgå i Finland. Then I practised in industry and moved to Sweden to study at Textileinstitute in Borås. My family moved to Dalsland in West Sweden into a former
village school. There I bred sheep for 20 years. I cut the wool of the
sheep's, carded the wool, spun, dyed and weaved tapestry (See pictures below). Sewed and designed
characteristic clothes from the stone age up to 1950's as well as fancy dresses. We started an
handcraft shop and an old fashion coffeeshop in the estate of Baldersnäs in Northern Dalsland. – After my husbands death I have continued to run the filmstudio on my own.
The films "Calosomas flight" (17 min) and "Annie the Ant
who Screamed" (17 min) can be distributed as DVD or HD.
